Marketing manager

Main function of role

The marketing manager will be responsible for all aspects of multi-channel marketing and PR (excluding search). You'll build brand equity and retain and acquire customers profitably via existing and new channels.

Key responsibilities

  • To lead development and implementation of a marketing communications strategy which optimises spend across on and offline media including PR, social, display, eCRM, content and broadcast media
  • Specifically to lead creation of a communications campaign for summer 2017 including management of new and existing agency partners
  • To lead the evolution of the brand identity and execution across website and marketing channels
  • To act as the customer/ brand guardian, developing customer insight generation and ensuring cohesive and consistent brand communications throughout the customer journey
  • To ensure detailed planning and measurement of marketing activity through relevant KPIs
  • To manage and build the CRM programme to maximise acquisition and retention
  • To contribute to's growth strategy

Key experience and skills

A proven track record in running successful multi channel marketing campaigns for a fast growing e-commerce business including managing email, social, PR, display and broadcast media channels.

  • Ability to take the lead in recommending optimal channel mix to achieve aims
  • Experience of managing multiple agencies and working as a team (you will be working with sales and account management teams as well as agencies)
  • Ability to think strategically but also "hands on" managing and implementing day-to-day marketing programmes
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to review key performance metrics to optimise marketing investment
  • Excellent awareness of digital marketing
  • Strong affinity with travel industry and ideally some experience in this area
  • Languages a plus
  • A confident self starter able to work independently and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment

Salary: £45,000 - 55,000 dependent on experience
